It’s Shotski in the Remsen Stakes

Shotski went wire-to-wire in the 2019 Remsen Stakes, fighting off a hard-charging Ajaaweed in the closing yards to win the 2-year-old Derby prep.

Jockey Luis Saez took the son of Blame to the front immediately and held a close lead on Chase Tracker and Prince James, respectively. The colt stretched his lead to four lengths entering the homestretch, then held off the favored Ajaaweed to win by a half-length.

It was the second win in four starts for Shotski, who earned an 86 Beyer as well as 10 points toward the Kentucky Derby.
