Saxon Warrior Wins Juddmonte Beresford Abroad

Saxon Warrior kept a little in his gas tank in the homestretch, taking the lead and lengthening it to an impressive two-length win in the Juddmonte Beresford in Naas, Ireland.

The unbeaten colt settled in behind his stablemate, Kew Gardens, and then took the lead in the homestretch. The field was bunched up, with almost anyone having a chance at the lead, until Saxon Warrior inched it up a notch and ran home going away.

Saxon Warrior earned 10 points in the Kentucky Derby standings. It is not known if he will make the trip stateside for the Breeder’s Cup Juvenile.

Delano Roosevelt was second by a head, with Warm The Voice third.
